3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Service. Specifically, we use your data to authenticate your account, store your message profiles and contacts, send emergency notifications to your designated contacts when a switch triggers, and maintain activity logs for your own review. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Contact Data and Third-Party Recipients
When your switch triggers, we transmit your pre-configured messages to the email addresses and phone numbers you have provided. You are responsible for ensuring that your contacts have consented to receive emergency notifications from you. We act solely as a message delivery conduit and do not retain or use your contacts' information for any purpose beyond delivering your messages.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data handling:
- Resend — Email delivery service
- Twilio — SMS delivery service
- Manus OAuth — Authentication provider
- S3-compatible storage — File and media storage
6. Location Data
Location sharing is entirely optional and opt-in per message profile. When enabled, your device's GPS coordinates are captured at the time of your last check-in and included in outgoing emergency messages. We do not continuously track or store your location outside of this specific check-in context.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Message delivery logs are retained for your review and audit purposes. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, message profiles, contacts, and uploaded files within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure credential storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your profile information and delete your contacts and message profiles directly within the application. To request full account deletion or a copy of your data, please contact us through the application.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
